As many of you know I attend a bible study on Wednesday mornings. It is in a small town here in Tennessee, about a 40 minute drive from my home. In the fall I went on the Walk of Emmaus and had…. well lets say God opened my eyes to several paths in my life. I met a wonderful woman there named Cheryl, we hit it off and became “fast friends”. You know that old saying about opposites attract, well we did! Cheryl has a huge heart and it is exciting to see her growing with God. I have had a hunger to learn God’s word for about 2 years now, I tell everybody who will listen the more I read, the more I pray, the more I learn, the more I want to read, pray and learn. I was kinda getting disappointed because I could not find anybody who was sharing this passion about learning God’s word. Cheryl was insistent that I come to the bible study she was participating in. To be honest, I did not want to go at first. I was in the middle of teaching a bible study at my home church, my husband and I are very involved with the children’s church program at our church, I was working a full-time job and had a few other things going on. I thought, man can I fit one more thing in? Cheryl was so excited there was just no way I could tell her no. I am so glad I said well yes, yes I will. I have met a truly amazing group of women, different denominations at different places in their walks with Christ. Yesterday when I walked in I cannot tell you the love and the compassion these women gave to me. Lenore, the leader of the study grabbed me up in a bear hug and kept telling me “Kim there are just no words”. These women on each Wednesday while I was gone lifted me and my family up in prayer and kept us there until the following week when they would pray in agreement over us again. I am humbled that God has granted me the privilege of getting to be a part of this study and putting such amazing women in my life. I am excited to start our next study next week, Beth Moore’s James Mercy Triumphs. Every study I have done by Beth has been educational, uplifting and inspirational. Lenore challenged me yesterday to go ahead and take the level 5 challenge, and you know, I think I will.

I am truly thankful to God for bringing these “new sisters” in Christ into my life. I know they will forever change it and that is a wonderful thing.
