The Psalms are some of my favorite verses in the bible. They are inspirational to me. They are uplifting. As I sit here typing I wonder how many songs have been written from the Psalms. Psalm 63 1- 4 are wonderful, don’t you think?
” 1) God, you are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. 2) So I gaze on You in the sanctuary to see Your strength and Your glory. 3) My lips will glorify You because Your faithful love is better than life. 4) So I will praise You as long as I live; at Your name, I will lift up my hands.”
A couple of days ago I threw out a challenge to you all, for all of us to start our year in prayer each morning with our Lord. For each of us to make a commitment to spend time praying and talking to our Father. I love these verses because they are so powerful! Eagerly seek God! To know that we know that there is nothing of this world that is anything close to our Lord. That there is nothing that can satisfy me like God can! My faith, my hope, my longing for God come from God! That the promise of Heaven for each of us is so amazing, I do not think we can fully comprehend how incredible it is going to be.
Have you ever been in your prayer time and just started thanking God, started praising God for all he does for you, for all he has done for you? Have you been humbled to the very core of yourself? Have you been praising our Father and become so full of the spirit you can hardly keep going in your prayer because you are crying and just being lavished with love at the feet of the throne of God? Just sitting here typing about how awesome it is to praise my Lord, makes my spirit soar! As the Holy Spirit of God fills me, I wonder how on earth do people who do not have a personal relationship with God make it day-to-day. The peace I have from God is something I would love everybody to know. It is an indescribable feeling. AMAZING. So, what do you think, as you are praying this month, how about some praise, some love, some thanking our Father for just how much he is to each of us! Let’s each of us develop our intimacy with God!

I have found that praising God for one thing reminds me of MANY other things that I have to praise Him for. Our God is an amazing God and only He is worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. Try beginning your day with praise for our Father, and see what a difference it makes in your day.
